Lost and Found
Lost, a woman’s wanderings reveal conundrums, paradoxes and her issues. Impermanence and attachment, loss and discovery; each moment reveals us to be simultaneously lost and found.
The creation of Lost and Found has been like living with a koan that provokes questions, and for which I continue to propose responses to. It has caused me to contemplate impermanence and the self, the inevitability of losing what is, the joy of discovery, the need to be present, the nature of time and the difficulty of choreographing something that is constantly disappearing.
Lost and Found was commissioned by DanceWorks, Live Art Dance Productions in Halifax, Neighbourhood Dance Works in St John’s and Peterborough New Dance through the CanDance Network of Presenters.
