With Fujiwara Dance: I Eat the Stars
Gibum Dante Lim is an actor, mover, and theatre maker.
Trained with renowned masters Philippe Gaulier (France) and Giovanni Fusetti (Italy), specializing in Clown and Bouffon. His training spans Toronto, Montreal, Italy, the United States, and France, with a deep focus on Jacques Lecoq’s pedagogy. Gibum is a graduate of the George Brown Theatre Conservatory.
On stage, Gibum has collaborated with Corpus Dance Projects in Transhumance, The Alpine Merry Sheep Choir, Camping Royale, and Les Moutons, performing across Canada and Sweden. He participated as a creative ensemble in Last Landscape, produced by Bad New Days and directed by Adam Paolozza, which received multiple nominations including Outstanding Ensemble Performance at Doras. He is currently part of the creative ensemble for Suzanne Liska’s Tea with Mara, premiering next year at Citadel + Compagnie, and continues his work with Corpus, and REA’son d’être Dance in their Axis Syllabus x Contact Improv Research Project.
He is drawn to the discipline and readiness that Clowning and Dance require, fully embracing the unpredictable and vibrant responses that emerge in each moment, both physically and energetically. Gibum believes that this dynamic interplay is what makes the theatre experience transformative.
